Hi! My name is Sarah. I’m 46 years old and first sprained my ACL in 2002 (right before my 40th birthday) playing volleyball. Then recently, I injured my knee again doing jump shots on the beach with my sis on June 29, 2009. As a result, I tore my ACL and medial meniscus, and had to have ACL reconstructive surgery on July 30, 2009.
This blog (inspired by Yes Knee Can) documents my journey through it all. I hope it’ll help you on yours as well if you’re going through something similar. Please feel free to share your stories via the comment feature on the blog. I’d love to hear about your experience and how you’re doing also.
I found out the hard way how fragile my knees are, and learn to never ever take them for granted again. {sigh}
